About this deal

My brother, hear me. Warriors of the XVII Legion, hear me. This violence is against the code of the Legiones Astartes and against the will of our father, the Emperor. In the name of the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar, I implore you to cease fire and stand down. Open communication with me. Let us speak. Let us settle this. This action is an error of the most tragic kind. Cease fire. I, Roboute Guilliman, give you my solemn pledge that we will deal with each other frankly and fairly if these hostilities can be suspended. I urge you to respond. A being of preternatural intelligence, cold reason and indomitable will, Guilliman forged his XIII th Legion into a vast force of conquest and control, a weapon by which he made himself the master of a stellar domain in the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy, the Realm of Ultramar, which during his lifetime spanned five hundred worlds. Prepare to lead your forces with the formidable presence of Roboute Guilliman, a strategic genius, indomitable hero, and the epitome of the Ultramarines might.

Whatever the case, Roboute Guilliman was not tainted in such a fashion. The being that would become the primarch of the Ultramarines Legion came to rest upon the world of Macragge. There he was discovered, and adopted, by a local warlord named Konor. Growing and developing at a superhuman rate, Konor's adoptive son soon surpassed all those around him, and came to be the greatest warrior, strategist and statesman upon Macragge. The oratory and vision with which their new-found primarch expounded to them his designs for the future and the righteousness of the Great Crusade filled the Legiones Astartes with a renewed vigiour and dispelled any shadows of doubt in their minds, and made Guilliman's takeover, according to official records, all but seamless. XIII Primarch’ gives an aura that lets nearby Ultramarines units and characters reroll their hit rolls, as well as re-rolls of wound rolls of one. They succeeded. Through a series of fateful missteps and happenstances, Horus became mortally wounded and was healed only by a Chaos cult ritual in the Temple of the Serpent Lodge on Davin. In the process, he effectively pledged his allegiance to the four chaos gods Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, and Khorne– and when he returned to his legion, he began hispreparations to make civil war against the Emperor: what would become known as the Horus Heresy.

Its industries had survived intact, and its people had retained an authoritarian but cohesive society. It had remarkably preserved a number of antiquated, short-range Warp-capable craft which could be utilised for near-stellar transit -- conditions permitting -- and its people continued to build sub-light spacecraft even during the time of the most intense Warp Storms. If you want to paint or play with Roboute Guilliman on the tabletop, two models of the character exist. The first is for the Warhammer 30k Horus Heresy system and shows the Primarch standing on the marble architecture of Ultramar, clad in the Armour of Reason and wielding the Hand of Dominion power gauntlet, the Gladius Incandor blade, and a combi-bolter by name of the Arbitrator. Before He began His conquest of the galaxy, the Emperor of Mankind created the primarchs. Utilising incredible skills at genetic engineering, and the phenomenal psychic power bound into His own form, He forged twenty demigod sons. These were superlative transhuman warriors, strategists and leaders, the finest qualities of Humanity refined in the crucible of science and magnified through the lens of divinity. The Indomitus Crusade would reach the end of its first major phase approximately twelve standard years later at the Battle of Raukos. Afterwards, Guilliman would turn his attention to helping his Realm of Ultramar defeat the forces of the Death Guard Traitor Legion and the servants of Nurgle in the Plague Wars, driving his traitorous brother Mortarion and the Death Guard Traitor Legion from the region in ca. 012.M42. It is the great irony of the Legiones Astartes: engineered to kill to achieve a victory of peace that they can then be no part of.So it was that when the primarch's fallen capsule was discovered by a group of magnates who were on a hunt in a local forest, they knew it immediately for a device of advanced technology rather than a thing of superstition and magic. The magnates broke the capsule's seal and discovered a strikingly beautiful and perfectly formed child within it who was surrounded by a glowing nimbus of power. Upon his return to the capital, Roboute found a coup was underway. Konor had been overthrown by his co-Consol, Gallan. Guilliman and his forces were able to lift the siege of the city before rushing to his adoptive father’s side to witness Konor’s dying moments. With his last breath Konor told Roboute of Gallan’s treachery. When the Primarchs were scattered throughout the galaxy as infants, most found themselves on worlds that can best be described as ‘unpleasant’. Fortunately for Roboute Guilliman, he landed on Macragge, a world that had survived the ravages of the Age of Strife mostly intact.

There have been some who have suggested that the Emperor's arrival at Espandor and the isolated region so far from the frontline of the Great Crusade's main spur of progress was no accident, and that by some arts He had perceived or had foreknowledge of what He would find. Lorgar, Angron, Mortarion, Fulgrim, and Perturabo all ascended to daemonhood during the Heresy, and have led their legions of Chaos Space Marines ever since, both within the Eye of Terror, and on crusades into realspace. During the dark times at the end of the 41st millennium, the Adeptus Mechanicustech-priest Belisarius Cawl, Sisters of Battle Saint Celestine, and Yvraine of the Eldar‘s Ynnari cult, sought out the somnolent Guilliman. By encasing him in a unique suit of Power Armour they were able to heal his wounds, awakening the Ultramarines Primarch for the first time in millennia. In the closing years of M41 and opening decades of M42 (the ‘now’ of the Warhammer 40k setting), the primarchs are almost all dead, presumed dead, long lost, or alive only as twisted, Chaos Daemon Princes serving their dark gods. It is known that at the height of his power during the Horus Heresy, Guilliman was armed with the Hand of Dominion — a mighty power gauntlet [13] that with Guilliman's strength could fell a Titan [14], the Gladius Incandor — a blade of exceptional craftsmanship and a symbol of his Legion and also - with an Arbitrator, a customised combi-bolter. [13] For protection, Guilliman wore a suit of Power Armour known as the Armour of Reason. [15] Roboute Guilliman (/ɹɒbˈuːt ˈɡuːlɪmæn/ [5], rob•oot ghoul•ih•man), also known as the Avenging Son [2], is the Primarch of the Ultramarines. An accomplished warlord and diplomat who ruled his own empire before rediscovery by the Emperor, Guilliman was unique among his brother Primarchs in that he saw himself as not only a warrior but also a builder of civilizations. [12] In addition to his leadership of the largest Space Marine Legion during the Great Crusade, Guilliman became renowned for his efforts to preserve the Imperium in the aftermath of the devastating Horus Heresy, becoming Lord Commander of the Imperium. Among his most noteworthy achievements is the authoring of the Codex Astartes and the creation of the modern Imperial military structure. [Needs Citation] In the wake of the Horus Heresy, it was the Ultramarines primarch who wrote and instituted the Codex Astartes, a key volume that laid out the proper tactics and military organisation for the majority of Loyalist Space Marine Chapters now in existence.

He is handsome, in a plain way. He is handsome the way a regent on an old coin is handsome, like a good sword is handsome. He is not handsome like a ritual weapon, the way Fulgrim is. He is not angelic, like Sanguinius...Lorgar of Colchis. You may consider the following. One: I entirely withdraw my previous offer of solemn ceasefire. It is cancelled, and will not be made again, to you or to any other of your motherless bastards. Two: you are no longer any brother of mine. I will find you, I will kill you, and I will hurl your toxic corpse into hell's mouth. In accordance with his grand design, he planned to not merely take the world of his fosterage as his headquarters and recruiting ground as his peers had done and would continue to do, but from the start set it up as merely the fulcrum of a far larger network of provender and support. The capsule containing the developing form of one primarch fell upon the world of Macragge in the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy. Macragge was a bleak but not inhospitable world, part of a decayed star empire of ages past that Mankind had inhabited for many centuries since the time of the Dark Age of Technology. In main-line Warhammer 40k, only the two returned loyalist primarchs, and three daemon primarchs, have models.
