About this deal

This cow was so fun to make. The yarn I used makes this cow look 100x cuter – and as a bonus this was the easiest, most realistic fuzzy yarn I’ve ever tried. I used the yarn Fable Fur in the color Mishka from crochet.com. You can get it here: https://www.crochet.com/yarn/fable-fur/c/5420367

The bottom of the cushion is held closed with three large wooden buttons. The Cow cushion cover fits a 15 inch or 38cm square cushion insert. No longer free. Adorable animal shaped pillows or toys. Knit flat and seamed. Finished Size: 27cm tall approx. Designed by Amanda Berry. DK weight yarn. We start by making the head of the cow, which works into the body. They are one piece. We then make the nose, mouth, horns, ears, arms, and legs. Next, we make the tail and add an optional bell. Finally, we sew on nostrils! Designed by Amanda Berry, this set includes patterns and yarn for pictured animals, farmer, barn, tractor, and mat.Stitch count is easy when using this yarn! Just be sure to count your stitches the entire time you’re crocheting, rather than at the end of the round. This makes it easier to follow along. If you notice you need to add or decrease a stitch, it should be no problem. You don’t have to redo the entire round, you can just add or decrease that stitch in the last stitch of the round. Head/Body: In Fuzzy Yarn & 5mm Hook This toy pig measures about 13 inches long from tail to snout, and 8 inches tall from floor to top of his head. Toy softie 8″ tall, 4.5″ wide, 5″ long. Designed by Susan B. Anderson and excerpted with permission from Spud & Chloë at the Farm at Canadian Living. I have also designed a matching Shetland Sheep Cushion and the two cushions make a great pair. Both sheep and cow are included in the same knitting pattern. Please also note that if you’re using the bulky, furry yarn, that the hook sized suggested DO matter. We will go between a 4mm and 5mm hook at times. The main part of the cushion is a variation of the wavy pattern Feather and Fan stitch. I didn't want regular rows of loops because highland cattle always seem to unkempt and raggedy, the wavy rows gave the cow this look. Round 10: Sc in the next 12 st.
