At first Denji in this form just wants to live his dream eating good food and going on a date with a girl who turns out to be Kobeni who was working at the restaurant after quitting devil hunting. This shows that even in his current form, he still has some of his old desires and there’s still a bit of him leftover in there. Makima doesn’t understand why Chainsaw Man is acting this way and begins bringing back every devil she had a contract with to fight and kill Chainsaw Man for good but he is too powerful. It feels like this series has a planned ending soon because everything is going to shit, big series-long conspiracies are being revealed, and most of this volume is just a mindless battle. Makima is facing forwards with her body turned almost perpendicular to her face, and with her left hand pointing forwards in a gesture reminiscent of one of her 'Bang' abilities.Now that Makima has Denji in a position of absolute desperation, she begins to reveal the true reasons behind why she took him in under her wing and gave him the life she did. Although, there were some lines said in this volume that tells me things are not quite done yet with a certain character. The series is a relentless journey through a dystopian landscape filled with grotesque creatures, moral ambiguity, and the constant struggle to retain one's humanity in the face of unspeakable horrors. The will to live, the one to create and destroy, the motor behind our actions and the way they impact each other.
