About this deal

okay but Commander Rip (yes, his name's actually RipšŸ’€ i cracked) was sooooo freaking much better than other males (i still feel traumatic after that book) and how he pushed Auren to realize certain things about a certain personšŸ™„. There is potential for an awesome slow-burn hate-to-love romance here, and I hope this is where theyā€™re heading because I love how they interact, and how Rip can get under Aurenā€™s skin and forces her to put everything into perspective. And by that I mean there isnā€™t a convenient or quick recovery solution; rather, the character begins their healing journey in a nonlinear, somewhat stepwise fashion. I thought that was the turning point for me, but the next chapter literally starts with "the fire has gone out" and that's how I felt with the romance too šŸ˜¬. Rooted in Seiler's childhood home, an East German village brutally undermined by Soviet Russian uranium extraction, these propulsive poems are highly personal, porous, twisting, cadenced, cryptic and earthy, traversing the rural sidelines of European history with undeniable evocative force.

Now I'm here, a prisoner of Fourth Kingdom's army, and I'm not sure if I'm going to make it out of this in one piece. How did I look into his eyes every day and not see that when he looked back, he was devoted to the gleam of my skin rather than the love of my heart? The next book in this series is Gleam, and all my bookish friends whoā€™ve read these books all say this one is the best; its like The Court of Mist and Fury of the popular series by Sarah J.Queen Malina decides she has had enough of King Midasā€™ shit and takes his kingdom for herself while heā€™s away trying to take over another. The last portion of this book was so good and it finally gave Auren the rage she needs to set herself free of Midas hopefully forever. Also, she hasn't fully let go of her feelings for Midas yet, something she needs to remedy before she can acknowledge her growing feelings for Rip. It got better than it started, not because of the ā€œplot twistsā€ (I saw ALL of them coming from a million miles away.

There was barely any romance in this honestly like it wasnā€™t a huge focus, which Iā€™m totally fine with since all this sets it up for the next book anyways. She comes face to face with many hard truths, and while she's not ready to acknowledge all of them, she makes significant progress. A Liaison Officer spends long shifts in the family home, keeping them informed of the progress of the police enquiry.Despite her fear as sheā€™s a captive and knows the value she holds, Auren is surprised to find herself treated well ā€“ or as well as one can be treated when captive to a vicious warlord of an enemy of her King. I'd already decided to quit so it wasn't too bad for me but for people who are genuinely engaged in the series, that could be devastating. But when political upheaval sees me sent across kingdoms to a future I no longer understand, everything I thought I knew about King Midas is shattered .

In Glint, I was very happy to see Auren became a little more confident with her ribbons, and more confident with herself in general. Rip just kept on challenging her and he is the main reason she started to see things more clearly and she realized that she didnā€™t need to spend her life in a cage to be protected from the world if she was strong enough to protect herself. The cracks that started to appear in the first book are slowly growing, with Auren questioning a lot more, having more courage to stand up for herself.King Midas Is Still A Threatā€¦King Midas in this story is actually worse than Tamlin in A Court of Thorns and Roses series, like seriously, this dude doesnā€™t even try to hide how awful he is at this pointā€¦I thought the story was going to go a different direction and that Midas was going to be stopped by now, but heā€™s still very much at large and also very much trying to take over all the kingdoms.

Glint has the mysterious, dark, hot fae commander, who has a group of friends who are the best warriors in the whole realm. As Auren and the saddles are taken by Commander Rip and his army, she slowly starts to see how bad her situation with Midas truly wasā€¦like seriously, itā€™s like sheā€™s woken up from a trance and finally see what a douche-canoe the king with the golden touch really is! While this book is not as dark as the first one, we can still see how dark and broken Orea can be, especially for women, and how tough Aurenā€™s life has been. Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll regret that when my alarm goes off for work in the morning, but I was dying to see what happened next! I love him so dearly, and I am going to stop here because if you thought I was going to not make the whole of my book three review about-um-yeah-youā€™d be dead wrong. The Georg BĆ¼chner Prize, the most prestigious prize in German literature, has been awarded to a magician of poetic language. It was beautiful and sad at the same time to see her start to realize that Midas might not be treating her right after all and that what he felt for her might not be true love. I have fought the terrifying Red Raid Pirates, endured the murder of those I care about, and survived the frozen planes of Orea, only to find myself a prisoner of the army of Fourth Kingdom.
