Inspired by their grandfather Bobby Alfons, who immigrated to the Netherlands from the Moluccan ‘spice island’ Ambon and infused Dutch jenever with a mixture of Indonesian spices, grandsons Sebastiaan and David embarked on a mission to revive this heritage.

The aroma evolves further with floral hints and the subtle essence of orange blossom, eventually transitioning into a refreshing menthol breeze enriched with delicate pepper and spice notes.Note: if the mix is to be kept warm for an extended time the spices should be removed once you are happy with the flavour, otherwise it will become astringent. It's made with a combination of local and exotic ingredients, including juniper, clove, lemongrass, cubeb peppers and rosehips. The resulting gin that’s been recreated is named after his grandfather, Bobby, who moved from Indonesia to the Netherlands in the 50’s.
