About this deal

Throughout the game, players can take numerous actions to earn points, and the player who reaches the points goal first will win. There are multiple actions players can take, but the game is all about resource management and crafting. Shovel: This tool may be used to force a player to limit another player to one action on their next turn. Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. This brings me to those that aren’t fans of Minecraft. As a fan of Minecraft myself, I can only guess how a non-fan would feel about the game. Clearly a fan of the video game will get quite a bit more out of the game than someone who only has a general idea of the game. Familiarity with the video game will certainly help, but I don’t know if it is totally necessary to enjoy the game. Those not familiar with the video game may take a little longer to understand the concept. It doesn’t help that two of the resource types look pretty similar for those who aren’t familiar with the game. The game is simple enough and the gameplay is fun enough on its own that I still think you could get some enjoyment out of the Minecraft Card Game? even if you don’t have much interest in the video game. A player may perform two actions during their turn, even if they are the same action. Play proceeds to the next player once the other player has completed their actions. There are three types of actions a player can perform:

A Wild card may be used as any 1 type of resource. You may NOT split the value of the Wild card. For example, a Wild 3 card may be used as a 3 Diamond card or a 3 Wood card, but NOT a 2 Diamond card and a 1 Wood card in combination. Scoring is easy thanks to our scoring table. Just add up the value of all cards, and the winner gets all the points. If you choose to mine a card, you take it from one of the resource piles and add it to your hand. Resources come in numerous different types, and some are rarer (and thus more valuable) than others. Craft The game immediately ends when one of the players have earned enough points from the Craft Cards that they have acquired. The number of points needed to win depends on the number of players:If you are familiar with the history of Uno, you might have spotted some similarities with another popular game. When you take TNT, you use it right away to get to take two other top cards, and discard the other two top cards. If you uncover a creeper (or several creepers) while taking/using TNT, finish the TNT action BEFORE everyone discards a resource card for each creeper. To illustrate this point I want to talk about the TNT cards. Basically whenever you have the opportunity to take a TNT card you should. There is basically no downside to taking one as any possible punishment will be shared with the other players as well. Taking a TNT card basically acts like getting a free turn as you will get to take two Resource Cards instead of one. In some cases taking the TNT card will give you all of the resources that you need to craft a card. If the TNT cards are spread out among the players this isn’t a huge issue, but if one player gets more than the other players they will have essentially gotten more turns than the other players. This will give players a huge advantage in the game. When I reviewed Minecraft Builders & Biomes I commented on the fact that the Minecraft theme is not one that is a natural fit for board games. The game has so many different mechanics and things that you can do that I thought it would be hard to translate to a board game. I was actually surprised by how well Builders & Biomes adapted the theme to a board game. The same holds true for the Minecraft Card Game? as well even if it might not do quite as good of job. Instead of trying to bring in all of the different elements of the video game, it decides to focus on the resource gathering and crafting aspect of the game. While it is not exactly the same (the blueprints don’t always exactly match the video game), it actually does a surprisingly good job replicating this aspect of the game in a card game format. Honestly I don’t know how much more could have been done to create a card game that simulates Minecraft better. If a player decides to mine a resource card, they are to take one resource card from the top of one of the five resource card piles. Shovel: When a player uses this tool they will choose another player who will lose one of their actions on their next turn. If you love Minecraft, you'll love this fun card game that continues the fun of the original game. The Minecraft card game has fun authentic illustrations on the cards that will remind of the real game. Players continue to seek out resources to gain points and ultimately win the game.Shuffle the Craft Cards. Deal the cards into four equal piles with the Crafting Side face up. There will be one extra Craft Card which will be placed to the side to start the discard pile. Note: There Will Be One Craft Card Left Over. Set It Aside As It Will Not Be Used In The Game. This Will Become Your Discard Pile.

TNT: If a player mines a TNT card, it must be played immediately. The player must then take the top card of the other four resource piles, but are only allowed to keep two cards; only resource or "Wild" cards are allowed to be kept. Then, the TNT card and the other two cards drawn are put into the discard pile. The player to the left of the dealer starts by matching the first card in the Discard pile. Like regular Uno, all players have to match the card’s number, color, or symbol. A popular house rule is that the player who is supposed to be skipped can play another Skip card on the first card. But as we already noted, if you play with the official rules, this is not allowed.

Discard Pile

The round is over when someone discards all their cards. Take note, if that last card played is a Draw Two or Draw Four, the next player must still draw those cards even though the game has ended. Buy Premium Box » When you are about to play your penultimate/second last card, you must yell “Uno” so that the others know that you are about to go out. If you don’t yell “Uno” and someone notices it and catches you before the next player plays anything, you have to draw 2 cards as a penalty.
