About this deal

Bauer Media Group consists of : Bauer Consumer Media Ltd, Company number 01176085; Bauer Radio Limited, Pros: Incredible feel all the way through the bag. These irons offer considerable forgiveness on mishits, and their slightly stronger lofts generate plenty of distance for a better-player forged iron.

Thankfully TaylorMade have reduced the length of the shaft by half an inch to 46 inches so even though it feels long, it is much more manageable and that will mean more accuracy. Visual first impressions: The M1 7-iron is visually appealing to me as far as the finish and overall look. Even though it is classified as a player’s iron, it doesn’t seem so tiny that it would be tough to hit. I am not a huge fan of the bright-yellow badging, but I probably could get over it. The iron inspires confidence with its topline and a little bit of offset. The “rubber” piece on the hosel is a little bit funky to me. The TW737-Vn is made particularly for better golfers who like the shape and workability of a blade, but want a little more forgiveness.

7I Performance

Engineered for extreme distance and pinpoint accuracy. Inspired by metal-wood construction. Fast-flexing faces and innovative Toe-Bar technology for exceptional feel and sound. The Penta TP3 and TP5 are both going to be a great fit for better or more avid players. It will really come down to a preference for feel and how much a player wants/needs a little more greenside spin and a little less driver spin. Final Thoughts

They were both a little to big IMO, as I am currently bagging Mizuno MP-68s. The M2 isa definite “game improvement iron”, while the M1 was similar in size and shape to my previous irons, Titleist AP1s.

New Mizuno Pro 241, 243, 245, Pro Fli-Hi irons take forging further

Ball speed on heel and toe side of center dropped about 2 mph on average, but the shots were very playable. With the 3 and 4-irons, toe shots generated quite a bit more left spin, but heel shots didn’t really impact the flight.

On course action: They both feel solid. I tried hitting both irons in all different types of on-course situations over a two week period. Both clubs launch the ball high but I would not say they balloon. For me, the M2 was about 10 yards longer and higher than the M1. Compared to my Cleveland irons, they are 1 to 1.5 clubs longer. Each RBZ Iron comes with the RBZ advanced feel system which includes an acoustic polymer and constrained layer which improves feel and sound. This design dampens unwanted vibrations without slowing the club face down through impact. This high-launch 3-wood was a joy to use. The more lofted 17? version is more like a 4-wood in my book, but with so many driver loft options about, the fairways were always going to follow suit. The new sole design really helped the feel and performance, giving high and consistent flight. This product will fall nicely into a great line-up for TaylorMade in 2012.

‘Couldn’t figure out what the hell was going on’ – Tiger takes swipe at LIV Golf

The last five years have really shown the innovation at TaylorMade. Mostly through improvements of popular models. The uber popular, and high performing P790 debuted in 2017, and has gone through internal and external changes. These changes are making them even longer and more forgiving. Can you guys do the “ultimate golf ball” comparison in near future to bring us late fall/early winter amusement? Srixon, Callaway, Bridgestone, Titleist, and TM comparison would be most appareciate (I know those big companies “suggest” reviewers from comparing to other brands but I think mygolfspy is brave enough to go for one!) Ball flight is very strong (comes off hot). Ball stays high in the air for awhile. Very high and lands soft These yearly releases contain incremental improvements from the year prior, and tend to offer something for every type of player. For the last decade, TaylorMade has released iron sets alongside their yearly metalwood sets, such as the newest Stealth lineup. You could almost set a watch to it.

I am a regular PRO V1 user but I found TP5 to be more in comparison to V1 than V1X. Instead, I rather would like to compare V1X to TP3. I decided to leave all my woods in the bag and play from the forward tees with just the irons. I wanted to hit every tee shot with an iron to see if I was imagining things. Maybe the range shots were an anomaly.I know this accounts for the distance gain but the ball definitely comes off hot compared to my set. I was hoping I would hit the M1 better since I like the appearance better, but that was not the case. The M2 definitely felt better for me and I felt more confident with it in my hands. I feel better if I break this up into different sets, starting with the 4 and 5 irons. They are rather big in appearance with lots of offset and a huge topline. Even by GI standards probably not the best looking heads, but I do realize a 2 piece metalwood construction can only look so good. I wish the 5 would have been the same design as the 6i and up. Forgiveness: Looking at where I was hitting the ball on the face, I think I was pretty much staying in the center, so I cannot comment on heel and toe hits. As for low and high the irons seemed very forgiving to me. I think this is the inverted cone technology coming into play. Sure hitting them a little thin gave me lower ballflight, but distance and direction were still good. (Today for whatever reason is was slightly off to the heel side of the face, which is my common miss. I got the expected fade with that impact area, but a little less so then with my gamer forged irons.)
