Before first use, mix a small amount of water with bicarbonate of soda (you can find it in the baking aisle at your supermarket) to make a paste, and apply it inside the cups. You can clean like this between every use but you can also just use a clean, damp cloth to remove milk residue between each use and then do a clean once a day with the bicarbonate mix.Moist wound healing has been found to be highly effective for treating sore and wounded nipples. Before placing the cups over your nipples, add a few drops of breast milk into each cup as breast milk contains natural healing properties to further aid recovery!
