About this deal

My mum always had O de Lancôme on her nightstand, two different kinds I think. I should try to find her some, or for myself so I can smell my childhood when I’m not too sentimental. If you are really into perfumes, you should head to Regia’s flagship store located on the rather swanky Passeig de Gracia. Regia is a chain of stores located around Barcelona, but in this particular one, there is an extra treat in store. Here you will find not only a shop selling the most exclusive and top range lines in perfume, but also a museum where you can peruse over 5,000 bottles of perfume, documenting the history of the perfume from ancient to modern times. You can see displays of containers from the ancient Roman, Egyptian and Greek cultures. It is a real gem for perfume lovers. the photography may be of a different size of the same product. Please read the product description Thus, and here I quote again from the book, Bien-Etre was and is a product eminently linked to the idea of French family life; it is even described as an "icon of French pop culture". The question of whether to use Bien-Etre or the rival brand Mont St Michel for the family toilet was equivalent to asking whether you went on a trip with your parents in a Peugeot or a Renault.

Whereby... "non-perfume"... One might get the impression that such waters were also used to introduce the little ones to the world of colognes.... or maybe even perfumes altogether! The Perfumery attracts visitors from all over the globe. Part of its intrigue and appeal is that it has a range of perfumes inspired by various fictional and historical characters. One of the most successful is the perfume of Napolean Bonaparte and his family, created in 1795.

these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, do

And don't look for the reason why the Cologne Bien-Etre appeals to the whole family: it is the freshest and most natural cologne ever. Your sense of well-being is priceless. Especially when it costs only a few pennies a day. I still have a little left, so I will now search my cupboard for it. The original, “naturelle” was my favourite, but I see from an internet search that they have added other types, like rose, as well as this new one you are writing about. How nice to think it’s still going. Whether the formula was changed, and whether the company is still the old or only the brand was revived, I can not say, in any case, the Naturelle 70 * (the formerly existing sister product 85 *, with a correspondingly higher alcohol content, has disappeared) is still available in many Internet shops, along with all sorts of probably newer flankers, if the word fits with such a "non-perfume".

The owners of this contemporary perfumery, situated in the increasingly trendy Raval neighbourhood, are a young couple with an interest in design and personal grooming. They have created a unique space, evoking a vintage pharmacy style. Here you will find shelves filled with quality and exotic toiletries and cosmetics. The charm of this peaceful store reflects that of the surrounding Raval neighbourhood, where you really get a feel of old meets new. This would say everything about the fragrance impression, but not about the (in France iconic) product. The book "Cologne" edited by Jean-Claude Ellena (I reviewed it on the blog) dedicates a separate chapter to this cologne. It was published in 1962 - the company was set up by a resourceful pharmacist - and was so successful off the bat that it became France's best-selling perfume, with 2.5 million bottles a year (and litre and half-litre bottles to pour it in!). Bien-Etre Eau de Cologne Naturelle 70* has as ingredients here at Parfumo almost the same five-note note as the classic 4711, except that - perhaps the most common note shift in traditional colognes - neroli has been substituted by the more pleasing, cheerful petitgrain. In another fragrance note I found on Bien-Etre Naturelle 70, lavender is missing and musk is still indicated, which seems plausible. Elin: Now I’m both envious of the central European shopping possibilities and of all with a bath tub of their own! We had bath tub growing up, and I miss it so much. Who thought it was a good idea to build apartments with only showers?? The major draw of the Basilica Perfume Gallery is the fact that it is home to Spain’s largest collection of niche perfumes, with more than 69 collections spanning different countries and amounting to more than 600 perfumes.

Elsewhere I have often written that Colognes used to be used not only as a perfume, but also as a hygiene product, namely when there was no running water to hand. For example, on long train journeys in sleeping cars, for washing in the morning, or during breaks on the motorway in summer, before air conditioning became common in cars. Or even when there was no running water in the homes, to rub the children down with cloths soaked in cologne. And that was still quite largely the case in France in the 60s. Later, a lavender and a more woody version were introduced, but then sadly my chemist stopped selling it. Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. We willWe like the fresh moment of the morning toilet! Because it's Bien-Etre [or: Because it's well-being]! And that a good rub with Bien-Entre after the morning wash (and also during the day!) gives a pleasant and wonderful feeling of freshness, mummy doesn't have to tell us again. Years later I was mourning its loss to my best friend who married a Frenchman and now lives in Paris. She exclaimed “But it’s a supermarket cologne, it’s dead cheap and my husband uses it in gallons after his shower!” and promptly sent me over three bottles. Unlike the traditional 4711 and many other similar products of its kind, I would not recommend this little water to be dumped on your face as an olfactory double espresso after three hours of sleep with bad dreams, nor as a freshness shot in extreme heat. Bien-Etre is, in fact, slightly softer and thermally warmer than most "white" and "yellow" colognes. Eau de Cologne Naturelle by Bien-Etre is a retro charmer that has been worn since 1962. Eau de colognes, such as this one, originated in Cologne, Germany. Very light, they will need to be reapplied several times throughout the day. They are generally based on citrus oils and some combination of lavender, thyme, rosemary and jasmine. Enjoyably Unambiguous It’s a light citrusy cologne that dries down to a powdery floral musk. Intended for the whole family, including children, it has the typical scent of French baby products–orange blossom. L’Eau Parfumée des Familles also weaves some crisp violet and grape notes, in addition to cedarwood, and its scent is at once lighthearted and sophisticated.
